Saying Thank You In the Mologne House Courtyard |
| |
 |
Many injured service members and their families live in Mologne House, the hotel on the grounds of Walter Reed (seen above),
and in other facilities nearby. The courtyard behind Mologne House is one of the few areas where service members and their family members
can go to relax outdoors. As you can see in the photo below on the left, the barbecue grills, landscaping, and sitting areas left a lot to be
desired! The photo on the right illustrates the work we have done so far to make living a little more comfortable for our injured soldiers.

You saw the finished Upper Patio. We have also completed a new playground.
We will construct two lower patios with a trellis covered sitting area in the patio on the right of center.
There will be a beautiful new Rose Mologne Gazebo, named for General Lewis A. Mologne's widow.
Finally, we are building our Walk of Appreciation, from Mologne House with ramps and a walkway toward the hospital.

This is one way to say Thank You. |

Here's another way:
You can say Thank You on the Walk of Appreciation.
|
|
We honor all wounded warriors - by service branch, and by unit, as generally as shown on this 8" x 8" paving stone. |

 |
We honor all wounded warriors, not only generally but also by naming those who have gone through Walter Reed, as shown on this 4" x 8" paving stone. |
| |
|
We want to give everyone who wants to thank our wounded warriors the chance to do so through these paving stones. Please go to our Mologne House Courtyard Program section to learn more and to our Blog to see our progress.
We want you to join us in a concrete, tangible expression of appreciation. See How You Can Help.
It is our greatest hope that simple beginnings such as these expressions of thanks will help pave the way for these brave men and women when they return to their communities.
